At Gilbert House Children’s Museum, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and grow in a space that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and discovery. We are committed to providing equal access to hands-on learning experiences for all families, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of exploration and growth. Through our ACCESS Memberships, we are proud to offer affordable opportunities for every child to unlock their natural gifts and talents in a place designed to inspire.

  • For just $75 per year, eligible families receive all the benefits of our Gilbert Family Membership, including:

  • Admission for two named adults and up to four children for one full year

  • Reduced fees and early access to summer camps, classes, and special events

  • 10% discount in Gilbert’s Gift Shop (excludes food & beverages)

  • Discount on party room rentals

  • Free admission to over 360 Association of Science Technology Centers (ASTC) worldwide

  • Discounted entry to Northwest Association of Youth Museums (NWAYM)

What is the ACCESS Membership?

Who Qualifies?

Families qualify based on household size and income (up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level), plus participation in at least one qualifying assistance program.

Qualifying Assistance Programs

You must be enrolled in at least one of the following programs:

  • Oregon Health Plan / Medicaid / CHIP

  • SNAP / EBT (Food Stamps)

  • WIC

  • Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher / Public Housing

  • TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)

  • Head Start, Family Building Blocks, Preschool Promise enrollment

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

  • Free or Reduced-Price School Lunch (NSLP)

  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

  • Foster family (DHS letter)

How to Apply?

  • Provide proof of enrollment in one of the qualifying programs above — documentation must be dated within the past 12 months.

  • Complete the ACCESS Membership Application at the front desk or online.

  • Start exploring! Additional children may be added to your membership for $10 each.
