Honoring the People Who Power Play

We’re clearing the grounds for a special sunset celebration dedicated to you! The Playground Party is our exclusive annual event to say "thank you" to the incredible donors and sponsors who keep the gears of Gilbert House Children's Museum turning. Without your generous support, our mission to provide a creative space for the children of Salem and Keizer wouldn't be possible.

Explore, Connect, and Celebrate

Join us for a relaxed hour of connection and gratitude across our entire campus. As the sun sets over the museum, enjoy an evening designed for conversation and discovery:

  • House Tours & Exploration: All three houses will be open for you to wander. Visit the Rockenfield House to see the progress in the Salem Station, explore the fan-favorite Vet Clinic in the Gilbert House, or stop by the Parrish House to see our STEM hub in action at the Engineering Studio.

  • Refreshments in the ODA: Gather in the Outdoor Discovery Area for specialty drinks and gourmet hors d'oeuvres.

  • Impact in Action: See firsthand how your contributions maintain our unique spaces, from the high-energy Bubble Factory to the creative Nature’s Workshop.

  • Community Connection: Mingle with fellow supporters and museum leadership while celebrating the "Legacy of Play" you help build every single day.

This is a private, invite-only event for our current donors and corporate sponsors. We want to celebrate the community of play YOU help build every single day.
